Remove the crop and debris
Disconnect power safely, remove old plants and pull loose roots from channels, fittings and return lines. Drain the used solution where it can be handled responsibly.
Wash before sanitizing
Physical cleaning comes first. Scrub away film and plant material using tools that can reach corners and fittings. A sanitizer cannot work well through heavy organic debris.
- Follow product label directions
- Never mix cleaning chemicals
- Use gloves and eye protection
- Rinse thoroughly before restarting
Restart and inspect
Refill with clean water, run the pump and check every connection. Once flow and leaks are confirmed, prepare fresh nutrient solution and monitor the new crop closely.
